3 Great Choices for Beach on a Budget
If you just have to be on a beach for you to consider it a summer vacation than there are a few places where you can still find good rates on accommodations. The best places to look are the ones who have coastline to spare. Think Myrtle Beach South Carolina, with more then 60 miles of sand there are a ton of options from hotels to rental condos. Then there’s St. Pete beach FL and of course Florida’s entire gulf coast where we watched in horror as this jewel we’ve never been to was about to be destroyed. Thankfully, It wasn’t – not even close – so now it’s time to go!
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Myrtle Beach’s Boardwalk may only be 2 years old but it’s already made National Geographic’s list of top 10 American boardwalks. With kid’s carnivals, concerts, strolling bands and fireworks this 1 mile stretch along the beach is the place to be.
St. Petersburg, Florida
Every Saturday is the Saturday Morning Market. The largest farmers market in Florida. This is the perfect place to stock your beach rental with great local fruits and vegetables.
Pensacola, Florida
Pensacola is home to the famous Blue Angels. When you do aerial tricks at 700mph you have to practice right? You can catch their practice every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30am at the National Naval aviation Museum. There are bleachers for viewing and you can bring lawn chairs. I suggest you go on Wednesdays when the fearless pilots do an autograph and Q&A session. Completely Free!
