Samantha Glams it Up in Las Vegas

When it comes to Las Vegas fashion, a gal like me feels a little intimidated.

Sky-high heels, snug cocktail dresses and plunging necklines aren’t really my thing. However, if there ever was an occasion to dress outside your comfort zone, Vegas is it. There’s just something about this town that loosens inhibitions. I dunno, maybe it’s all the free alcohol.

I’m not a big gambler, so on a recent trip, I decided to ditch the casino for some shopping. The Wynn offers incredible high-end shops that are waaaaaay out of my price range. But the sales guy didn’t know that! I donned my best poker face and tried on incredible fashions that would make Carrie Bradshaw swoon. Did I buy? Nope, but I seriously considered putting a few hundred bucks on red to see if I could win enough for a pair of shoes I could barely walk in.

So, next time you’re in Vegas, maybe head to a few fancy shops to try on the latest fashions. Beware: it’s gambling of a different variety. What if you fall in love with something and can’t live without it? I guess the good news is you can take it with you, unlike the money you might lose at the blackjack table.

  1. Samantha – my husband and I love Las Vegas and our favorite thing to do is to go the various hotels like the Bellagio, Venetian, the Forum at Caesar’s, just to name a few and we go the various art exhibits and shops. We have made many long lasting friends in the art shops. Sometimes we do go gamble but the other thing we enjoy doing is going to all the fabulous restaurants. To me the food in Las Vegas makes me gain weight more than the food on a cruise.
